Verónica Portugal is a passionate professional with over 15 years of experience in government, private, and social sectors. Throughout her career, she has worked in diverse roles, from Client Relationship Specialist and Legal Support Specialist to Quality Assurance Analyst, in companies based in both the United States and Mexico. Verónica is the founder of Paideia Cívica, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting civic education and strengthening democracy in Latin America. Her commitment to creating a positive impact has also led her to advise CEOs and collaborate with government organizations on social and political development, particularly through her work with Mexico’s Secretariat of Social Development. Verónica’s academic background is just as diverse, with studies in Political Science, Economics, Computer Engineering, Applied Statistics, and Big Data. Over the years, she has been recognized as a G20 delegate, a TEDx speaker, and a recipient of prestigious fellowships, including the Raisina Young Fellow and Mozilla Open Leader programs. She has also been selected for international initiatives such as the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) and Transparency International.
