Dr Debjyoti Chanda is currently Professor and Head in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata where he has been teaching for the past 20 years. He had earlier served Government of India as a cadre officer of Indian Information Service. He is a recipient of UGC-JRF and his area of specialization is Development Journalism and International Relations. 4 research scholars have been awarded doctorate degree under his supervision. Dr Chanda has also been an English news anchor in India's National Broadcaster DDNews for over 20 years. He is in the editorial board of several peer reviewed journals and is a regular contributor in international and national newspapers and magazines.
