Anurag Acharya has a decade-long experience working on Nepal’s governance and politics through research and programming with different national and international organizations. As the Director of Practice, he leads PEI in thematic areas of governance, politics, and foreign aid. Earlier, Anurag worked with a UK-based peace-building organization, managing sub-national governance projects (2017-2020). He also worked for a Nepali media research organization, managing investigative projects. 
Anurag is a well-known political commentator and has written extensively on Nepal and South Asia, for national and international publications. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Kathmandu University and, a Masters degree in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India.
