Dr. Alam Hossain Mondal, Deputy Chief of the Party for the BADGE project, brings over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, specializing in energy security, policy development, regional energy trade, low-carbon strategies, energy systems modeling, and sustainable energy planning. In his role as BADGE DCOP, Dr. Alam oversees initiatives in advanced energy technologies, utility modernization, procurement, and regional energy trade. He has been instrumental in establishing integrated energy modeling frameworks for countries including Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and the UAE. An accomplished author, Dr. Alam has published over 30 journal articles and two books. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers  (IEEE), IEEE Power & Energy Society, and an active member of the Association of Energy Economics (IAEE) and the Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences (AESS).
