Senior Governance Specialist at the Democratic Governance Cluster, UNDP Bangladesh

Mr. Mahmud has 21 years of work experience in applied governance and political economy analysis, inclusive politics, anti-corruption, parliamentary accountability, electoral process, and public sector reform, with sectoral expertise in labor migration and climate change. He was an accredited Governance Adviser to FCDO and has also worked with the British Council, UNDP, Oxfam, and Transparency International Bangladesh. He is interested in developing new processes, programs, and learning initiatives for sustainable development. He is committed to serving as a thought partner with leaders to help them identify and remove barriers to unlocking potential and achieving goals. He also served as adjunct faculty at Public Administration of Jahangirnagar University and Development Studies of Dhaka University. I contributed to drafting an evidence-based participatory Bangladesh National Youth Policy 2016.
