KAZI FAISAL BIN SERAJ
Faisal is an international development professional heading The Asia Foundation's office in Bangladesh. With almost two decades of experience, Faisal focuses on promoting good governance, strengthening civil society, fostering economic development, increasing women's economic empowerment, promoting religious harmony, and reducing the impact of climate change. He previously worked for BRAC International and served as the Country Representative in Myanmar, where he expanded women's economic empowerment through a microfinance plus approach. Faisal also researched and managed large-scale empirical studies in Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Uganda. He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management as a Sloan Fellow and, as an emerging nonprofit leader, received training from the Aspen Institute and Thunderbird School of Management, supported by the Amex Leadership Academy.
