Makhethe Makamase is a Researcher at the Centre for Mediation in Africa (CMA), a PhD Candidate at the University of Pretoria (UP), and an Assistant Lecturer at UP. She has experience in grassroots mediation, peace and security research. Her research interests include African politics, peace and security, inclusive development and global advocacy. She is an alumni of the Managing Global Governance (MGG) Academy (2021) by the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS). She also forms part of the GenSouth 2024 Programme with Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
