Cagdas Ungor is an associate professor at Marmara University's Department of Political Science and International Relations in Istanbul. Ungor received her Ph.D. from the History Department at the State University of New York, Binghamton with a specialty in Chinese modern history (2009). She holds a B.Sc. degree in International Relations (Middle East Technical University, 1998) and a M.A. degree in Cultural Studies (Istanbul Bilgi University, 2004). Her research interests include Chinese political history, Sino-Turkish exchanges and international relations in East Asia. Ungor has advanced knowledge of English and Chinese, besides her native Turkish.
