Chayanika Saxena is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Geography, National University of Singapore (Singapore). She was formerly at RSIS, Singapore as a Student Research Assistant and Post Graduate Student of International Relations. Her doctoral thesis looks at the dwelling experiences of the Afghan transnationals in the Indian cities of New Delhi and Kolkata. She has more than seven years of research experience on Afghanistan and has published and presented on related matters nationally and internationally. She is fluent in Hindi, Urdu, English, has working knowledge of Farsi and basic knowledge of Arabic.
