Karori Singh

Karori Singh was Born and brought up in Rajasthan, Karori Singh's initial education is from Rajasthan. He has done is post-graduation in Political Science from University of Rajasthan. He has pursued M.Phil. and Ph.D. on Agricultural Land Reforms in Sri Lanka from the same University and subsequenly served as Lecturer in Political Science at the Department of Higher Education in the Government of Rajasthan. Thereafter, he has joined as Assistant Professor at the South Asia Studies Centre and got an opportunity to pursue his research as Post-doctoral Fellow at the East West Center, Hawaii.

Subsequently, he was elevated as Professor of South Asian Studies and served on various administrative positions including Director of the South Asia Studies Centre and Member of the Syndicate, the highest decision making body of the University. He has also undertaken State-of-the-Art Review of Literature on Poverty and Human Rights in South Asia under the Poverty Eradication Programme of the UNESCO. His educational attainments and professional accomplishments revolves around research and innovation pertaining to the conflict, security and developmental issues in the South Asian region. Presently, he is working on Revisiting Poverty Discourse in South Asia as Emeritus Fellow at the South Asia Studies Centre, University of Rajasthan, India
